Dick Barnett: Phil Jackson never asked Clyde for advice as President

Dick Barnett, who played with Phil Jackson for six seasons in New York, noted that the Zen Master was distant with his former teammates even when he was the president of the Knicks.

Barnett, a frequent at the Garden for games, said Jackson never elicited his advice or Walt Frazier’s.

“That was one thing he never did,” Barnett said. “He had Walt Frazier right there with him (traveling with the team as an MSG analyst) and he never did that with Walt Frazier.”
