Trae Young took 241 of his 325 three-point shots (74%) from beyond the NBA arc (excluding heaves). He hit 33% of those shots. Of those 241 NBA threes, a staggering 102 of them came from roughly 30 feet. In other words, almost a third of his total three-point attempts came from about 6 feet beyond the NBA line.

And that distance had an impact: Young hit just 26% of those deep threes. Clearly, then, Young’s shot selection dragged down his shooting percentage.
