May 19, 2000: The Knicks comeback from 18 points down to force a decisive game in Miami for the third consecutive season. Allan Houston led the way with 21 points and two clutch free throws to cement the 72-70 Game 6 win.

1995: In attempting to become the first team since 1981 to overcome a 3-1 series deficit, the Knicks force Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals by defeating the Pacers 92-82 at Market Square Arena. The Knicks overcame a furious fourth-quarter run by the Pacers and their own bench argument between Anthony Mason and Charles Smith.

1989: Before Larry Johnson’s 4-point play, there was Trent Tucker’s. With the Knicks trailing 111-107 with 9 seconds remaining, Tucker hit a miraculous shot from 27-feet out and was fouled on the play. He made the free throw to tie the game.

In the final seconds, Jordan made two free throws of his own to give Chicago the lead, before Johnny Newman missed a wide open last second shot, closing the door on the Bulls 4-2 series victory.

1986: Despite playing in only 50 games due to injury, Patrick Ewing is named NBA Rookie of the Year after averaging 20 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks over 35 minutes per game.
